From Craigslist Gigs to $10M+: Bookkeeper360's Story Featured by Hampton
Our CEO and Founder, Nick Pasquarosa, was recently featured by Hampton in an exclusive profile chronicling his journey from trading stocks with his mom's social security number in middle school to building Bookkeeper360 into a $10M+ business serving over 1,000 clients nationwide.
The feature highlights how Nick disrupted the traditional accounting industry by rejecting hourly billing models in favor of transparent, value-based pricing. As Nick shares in the interview, "Traditionally, CPAs and accounting firms billed by the hour, leaving business owners with unexpected charges months later. Our transparent pricing approach fueled much of our early growth."
Today, Bookkeeper360 processes more than $3.4 billion in client transactions annually with a virtual team of 100 CPAs and professionals. Nick's bootstrapped approach and decision to turn down over $30M in venture capital has allowed the company to scale sustainably while maintaining healthy work-life balance for the team. As he notes, "It might not be the flashiest path, but it's how I plan to win this race."
The Hampton feature also reveals some of the behind-the-scenes moments that shaped our culture including how ordering 360 Taco Bell tacos for Cinco de Mayo celebrations unexpectedly generated client referrals from neighboring CPAs who wanted to join the fun.
